The pursuit of a brighter future is what brought my family to Logan, Indiana back in 1987 when I was six years old. We experienced firsthand what it was like to be surrounded by a new community that reflected our values and principles. Leaving the suburbs of Cincinnati – not only was the grass greener, but the air was cleaner, the neighbors were friendlier, the sense of community was tangible.
Playing sports and being actively involved in my church’s Youth Group filled my childhood. Baseball, basketball, cross-country, track, tennis….. It didn’t matter the sport, I just needed an outlet for my energy. I also took up the sport of skiing after becoming an employee at Perfect North Slopes.
Growing up on 18 acres definitely provided opportunities to learn responsibility at a young age. There was always work to be done to take care of the property, and when I did have a free minute, my older brothers never hesitated to give me the chance to learn how to clean out a horse stall, re-shingle the roof, or volunteer on a neighborhood project.
As a Junior at East Central I began the college application process. While visiting Huntington College near Fort Wayne I realized what a perfect fit for me the school was. A small university with a Christ-centered education provided the opportunity to be a leader and not just a number. I enjoyed the challenge to step up as a Collegiate Athlete, member of our Student Activities Board and as a 2 year Resident Assistant. In 2002 I graduated with a double major in Business Management and Economics.
After college I returned to my employment at Perfect North Slopes in full-time Management. I have gained so much great experience working alongside my friend and “serial entrepreneur” Chip Perfect over the years. Partnering with the Maxwell Development Team we established Greendale Cinema and LaRosa’s in 2005, which I oversee as Director of Operations. We added Buffalo Wings and Rings to the mix in 2015, which provided my first opportunity to be an owner/operator.
In September of 2012 I was blessed to marry my best friend and the rock of our family, Jessie (Rolfes) Doll. We welcomed our beautiful daughters Allison in April of 2014 and Reagan in January of 2016. We still live in the shadows of Logan Supermarket in the heart of “downtown” Logan on a little family homestead of our own, and have no intentions of ever leaving! Jessie and I are heavily involved at Bright Christian Church. I am active with our “Men’s Leadership Factory” as well a “Joshua Men’s Group” which focuses on developing leaders.
I don’t consider myself to be a “politically minded” individual; however, there is no denying the need for strong, conservative leaders in Dearborn County. I am willing to help lead my community in a positive direction in any way possible. I have worked as Treasurer and Campaign Manager for Senator Perfect since the launch of his campaign in 2013. I consider it a privilege to be serving currently as the Treasurer for the Dearborn County Republican Party and enjoy the opportunities to lead it provides. I am also currently serving a 4-year term on the Dearborn County Convention, Visitor and Tourism Commission.
I’m excited to be a small part of a wonderful community and intend to be a driving force behind making sure Dearborn County is ALWAYS the perfect place to Live, Work and Play!
