Why are you the best candidate for the office you are seeking?
I believe I am the best candidate for the Office of County Surveyor based on my accomplishments. I have conducted my duties of County Surveyor and referenced more corners than any of the past county surveyors. I sit on the Planning Commission and am involved in creating or modifying the ordinances that guide development in our county. I review plans that get submitted to the County Plan Commission for compliance and to insure other properties are not affected by proposals.
What will be your top priorities if you are elected/re-elected?
Top priorities will to continue to be involved in the processes of updating ordinances and maps. Soon the Plan Commission will update Zoning maps and the Zoning Ordinance. I believe it is my duty to the citizens to be involved in this process. We may soon be part of a MS4 or a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System as mandated by the EPA and IDEM. I will have a part in this process though it is guided by Federal and State regulations. I will continue to reference corners as I have done in the past.
